1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Lovely mountain walking, followed by a swim in the sea one day. Gizer was an excellent and knowledgable guide. The varied local food was superb. We were in the newest part of the Pia Bella hotel and were surprised and delighted by the large room with balcony. The breakfasts there were excellent.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The walking was fine for us, but some of the less able people on the trip didn't feel up to the longer days and after finding the first longer day too much. The tour operator's descriptions are good, and the "Leisurely / Moderate" summary is accurate. I just think some people read "Leisurely" and ignored the other word. Other travelers should read the notes carefully before deciding to do this trip.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The guide, drivers, hotel staff, restaurant staff, and most of the food were local - so yes. Good that we were able to fill water bottles from the hotel's filtered water dispenser at breakfast - reducing plastic bottle use. It would be good if the hotel could reduce cling film use for packed lunches by using paper wrapping for sandwiches. Also, we accumulated a lot of disposable plastic cutlery from packed lunches. It would be better if the hotel could use wooden cutlery.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent. Gizer was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We noticed feedback from previous trips saying that packed lunches were of low standard and always the same. We had some welcome variation in packed lunches, so very happy. It's good to see that feedback is being taken on board. One issue we've also passed on to the tour operator is that there was some mobile phone use by drivers. We understand that this is against the law in Northern Cyprus. Low to moderate means some walks are moderate. There were several in our group for whom moderate was too challenging. This disrupted the group dynamic on days they attempted to walk, and caused the days to end later than planned. Leader did a good job being positive and supporting them.3. We were given plastic water bottles each day, but the lunches were packed in reusable containers. Overall less environmentally conscious than some other places I’ve been.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Seeing/visiting things we would probably never have been able to if we'd been traveling independently.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Study the itinerary carefully, consider the prevailing weather conditions and fitness levels required, then make sure to pack appropriately. ie layers and maybe waterproofs.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It appeared that all of the services we used (hotels, guides, transport, restaurants, etc) were locally owned so hopefully this benefited the locals. Can't say if any conservation organisations benefited.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I loved the village setting and the quiet hotel. The night sky was lovely and the walks very enjoyable.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
I found my lightweight binoculars very useful. Bring a light towel and swimsuit if you want to swim. If you need snacks then it is a good idea to pack a few things like nuts and energy bars.3. Yes as we used local transport and frequented the local bars and cafes. The hotel used local produce apparently too. We also shopped at the village bakery.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
